THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD.

JOHN 16:33 In the world ye shall have tribulation.

JESUS ASSURES US THAT WE WILL NOT BE LEFT ALONE TO OVERCOME OPPOSITION.

EXODUS 17:12.  But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

   A.) WE ARE NOT WITHOUT HELP! GOD HAS GIVEN US HIS TWO MOST TRUSTED LEADERS TO HOLD UP OUR HANDS AND KEEP US STABLE AS WE CONQUER.

   B.) SATAN = AMELAK  (WICKED KINGS) DAILEY BATTLES

   C.) AARON & HUR = THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD OF GOD!

AARON = TEACHER (THE WORD) HUR = LIBERTY (THE HOLY SPIRIT) 2 CORINTHIANS 3:17.  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

GOD DID NOT DESIGN EITHER TO STAND ALONE, BUT TO WORK TOGETHER IN YOUR LIFE.

   A.) ONLY THE WORD, YOU WILL DRY UP  ( FACTS AND FIGURES)

   B.) ONLY THE SPIRIT YOU WILL BLOW UP ( THEY WHOOP AND HOLLER)

WE NEED BOTH THE SPIRIT AND THE PROMISES OF GOD WORKING TOGETHER IN ORDER TO MATURE AND LIVE IN VICTORY.

SIX WAYS THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD WORK TOGETHER.

1.) THE HOLY GHOST SPEAKS THE WORD OF GOD.

   A.) THE GREATEST ANOINTING THE FATHER HAS PROVIDED IS UPON THE WORD. THE HOLY GHOST INSPIRES US TO SPEAK THE WORD IN PRAYER AND IN OUR CONFESSIONS.

2 SAMUEL 23:2.  The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

PROVERBS 1: 23.  Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

ISAIAH 59: 21.  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth...

ZECHARIAH 4:6.  “ This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit”

1 PETER 1:21.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2.) THE WORD OF GOD IS THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST.

THE WORD OF GOD IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY GHOST AND CARRIES THE ANOINTING. SPEAKING THE WORD RELEASES THE CREATIVE POWER OF GOD TO WORK IN YOUR LIFE. GOD SPOKE FAITH FILLED WORDS TO CREATE THE HEAVENS.

WE SPEAK THE WORD AND THE SAME POWER CREATES ANSWERS...

EPHESIANS 6:17...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...

3.) THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US SCRIPTURES TO USE AS WE WITNESS .

TRUE WITNESSING IS NOT METHODS AND FORMULAS. EFFECTIVE WITNESSING IS PROMPTED BY AND ENERGIZED BY THE HOLY GHOST!

THE PREACHING OF THE WORD MUST BE BATHED WITH THE ANOINTING!

ACTS 1:8 IS THE REASON THE HOLY GHOST WAS GIVEN... But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses...

TO GIVE BELIEVERS THE POWER TO WITNESS! HE BRINGS SCRIPTURES TO OUR MINDS THAT WILL TOUCH THE HEART OF THE ONE WE ARE SPEAKING TO.

ACTS 4:31...and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

ACTS 13:4.  So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost...

 5... they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews...

ROMANS 15:19.  Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

4.)THE HOLY SPIRIT RESPONDS TO THE PREACHING/ SHARING OF THE WORD.

NOT ONLY DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRE THE WORD OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT RESPONDS TO THE WORD! SOMETHING MIRACULOUS HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE LISTENS TO THE WORD.

   A.) CONVICTION OF SIN

   B.) SUPERNATURAL ANSWERS TO IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS.

ACTS 10: 44.  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

ACTS 15: 7.  And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8.  And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us...

1 THESSALONIANS 1:6.  And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost...

5.) BOTH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE PROMISES OF GOD BRING HEALING.

THE HOLY SPIRIT NOT ONLY WORKS THROUGH THE GIFTS TO BRING ABOUT SUPERNATURAL HEALING, HE ALSO WORKS THROUGH THE PROMISES.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:9...gifts of healing by the same Spirit...

PSALMS 107: 20.  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

MATTHEW 8:17.  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

ACTS 10:38.  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

6.) BOTH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD ARE TO BE USED IN PRAYER.

1 CORINTHIANS 14: 15.  What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also...

   A.) PRAYING THE WORD IS PRAYING THE PRAYER OF FAITH. (WE ARE TO PRAY THE ANSWERS AND NOT THE PROBLEM)

   B.) WHEN WE DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWERS WE NEED TO PRAY IN THE HOLY GHOST.

ANSWERS ARE CONCEIVED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND BIRTHED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

1 KINGS 17:14  14.  For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail...MEAL= WORD...OIL= HOLY SPIRIT...WE SHOULD KEEP A FULL SUPPLY OF BOTH!
