Effortless Change

We can all see areas in our lives where we need to see change.

2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord

2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him...

> God's Word in Seed form has everything you need to change your life!

            >Power in a seed is AWESOME!  (Mark 4 = Word is SEED!)

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust

>Purpose of the promise 1.) to escape corruption...2.) partake of the Divine nature

1.) Few people put priority on the Word

            a.) must be priority

            b.) must permeate our lives

            c.) everything that comes into our lives must be filtered thru the WORD

2.) Make time for the WORD

            a.) you'll never find time

3.) Effort

            a.) plant the seed

            b.) don't pluck it up

4.) Change will come!

            a.) Word will produce change!

            b.) HARVEST

God's Word will give you what you need to change.

            >from sickness to health

            >from poverty to prosperity

5.) We must take the Word and put it in our heart

            a.) reading / meditation

6.) We all want a Microwave Miracle

            a.) New Convert  / weak in Faith

Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...

            a.) Change  (transformation) comes thru renewing your Mind!

            b.) We pray  / beg God / help me...change me...

            c.) The Word will change the way you think! THE WAY YOU THINK WILL DETERMINE HOW YOU FELL AND ACT!

            d.) You will be /do what your dominate thoughts are (depression) You are depressed because you allow yourself to think depressing thoughts. YOUR CHEMICAL IMBALANCE DOESN'T CAUSE YOUR DEPRESSION ; YOUR DEPRESSION HAS CAUSED YOUR CHEMICAL IMBALANCE. MEDICINE TREATS THE IMBALANCE BUT NOT THE DEPRESSION!

Pr 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...

            a.) When you make the Word first in your life it will...

                        >control your emotions

                        >your attitudes

                        >your actions

Many try to change their actions without first changing their thoughts

            > religion is just "behavior modification"

            > do this but don't do that (breeds anger & frustration)

True Christianity = goes to the heart / changes the heart / ACTIONS WILL CHANGE AS A RESULT!

MARK 4:26-29

Seed is the Word / Ground is our Heart

1.) Must be planted in our heart in order to work in our lives!

            a.) not the coffee table

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful...

            b.) will not set you free (change) until it is planted in your heart

            c.) Seed was found in Egypt / Pharaoh tomb...2000 years in a sack...never grew. Scientist planted...grew.

2.) V27. We don't understand exactly how it works but it does!

            a.) life is in the seed

            b.) potential is in the seed

            c.) Science cannot produce a seed (can do heart surgery but can't do...)

            d.) I don't know how a corn seed makes a stalk of corn but it does!

            e.) I don't know how I can read the Bible / study / meditate  /confess / it produces...IT JUST DOES
